Oooooo there's a 52 Photo Slideshow!
As we do every year, we held a big BBQ on the Sunday before Labor Day (gives us Monday to recover and clean up). This year we used the occassion to officially christen the new deck around the hot tub. We also out-geeked ourselves by setting up dual video screens for the evening's movie, a Screen A for the main patio area and then Screen B for the tubbers. Had a webcam going the whole time. The movie was played thru a Sony Vaio using the vga port rather than the video out, and the other Vaio was used as a webcam server, pushing images up to our main server via the wireless network. Also in heavy use was the Guinness machine, busily dispensing everyone's favorite black beverage.
Oh yeah, about 27 people showed up and we all talked and ate and stuff too.
The movie was Dr. Strangelove with a Harry Potter trailer to start us off.
The first 14 images were taken about an hour before people started showing up, then the next 18 during the afternoon, followed by 16 during and just after the film. The last 4 I took after everyone left... I was trying to get some nice shots of the lighting but I really need a tripod... I'll try again some other time.
The first slide is actually a Quicktime VR which requires the plug-in. If you are using the newest IE and the Quicktime doesn't work, well you asked for it.. You're only encouraging Micro$oft if you persist in using inferior software. :)
