Once spring 2000 got into high gear I uncovered the lower fountain. Yuck. The plastic hadn't kept it very dry, and the snails had moved in. Hosed it all off, cleaned all the rocks and shells up then worked on moving the barrel back. Got it all set back up in no time, but pretty much at that point decided not to winterize it next year. Too much pain for too little gain. Bought a second underwater halogen and put it in the lower pool.

I have a blue lens on the upper pool and red on the lower. I set a cute little frog on one spilway to divert some unwanted splash. One night after the lights came on I made a very fun discovery. The red light shining up thru the water on the frog made it look like some evil craven idol. Muhahaha. Sweet little froggy by day. Evil spawn of hell demanding your worship by night. On a lark I changed the upper pool's lens from blue to yellow. The effect was disturbing as a pool of yellow liquid flowed into a pool of red.... Switched it back to blue. I'm sick but not yucky:)

My night pics of the fountain just are not coming out well.
