When we did the Kitchen oh so many years ago, we decided to add a couple half-walls in the living room, where originally there had been a full wall. Basically cutting the living room in two, into a living room and dining room. Well we didn't want a full wall as the dining area (which we rarely use for dining) is kinda small, but we thought half-walls would be nice.

We framed one, then concentrated on finishing the kitchen... then we got the big fish tank, and it went where the opposite wall was going... and then we got lazy and distracted. Essentially the half framed wall stood that way for about 6 years, with only a bit of, albeit nice, fabric covering it.

A month or so ago I got an idea... I could finish that wall and build in CD shelves! Then our cds would all be scattered about in 12 different places. So after work every day and all day on the weekends I worked my fingers to the bone finishing that damned wall...

You'd think it was the roof after all my moaning eh:-)

ANYHOO. Here it is. For extra credit I built a little shelf for our phone, answering machine etc. AND I was able to install jacks for all the AV stuff, like sending audio throughout the house, and the video feeds fromt he satelite and stuff.

Looks Schweet No?
