I've always loved the explanation the CMs give Storybookland travelers concerning how you can sail right through Monstro. He sneezed and blew his tail off. Hella intense imagery for kids but what the hey. It's rare, but sometimes his eyes blink and water sprays from his blowhole. This shot from the Death-Buckets was taken on our January 1990 trip.
