Most kids, I'm told, are a little afraid of the huge walk-around characters at Disneyland, and at the age of 3 I was no exception. That's supposed to be me up there with Mickey, but no amount of cajoling could get me near him. My Mom stepped in so as not to hurt Mickey's feelings. Later on that day I guess I got my courage up, but with Goofy. I didn't feel the need to pose with Mickey until I was 27....
