I won. This shot was taken as we waited to get off the boat in Vancouver. Steve and I were the last ones awake from the night before and at this point he gave in and fell asleep.

This is the last photo in my PerlWhirl Slideshow. The trip home was annoying and not worth taking pictures during. First, of course we had to wait forever for them to call our deck number so we could disembark. Then we had to wait in a horrendous line to catch the airport shuttle with the bellyaching blue-hairs. One even had the gall to cut right in front of us in line, with a cart holding about 10 suitcases. We got to the Vancouver airport a tad early so just kinda kicked back for an hour or so before our flight took us to Seattle.

Once at SeaTac we ran to our gate only to find our Alaskan Airlines flight was delayed. Made a call home to let Kel know, then grabbed a bite to eat. Ran again to the gate because the waitress was a little slow getting us our check. Came upon a mile long line at the gate... all the people from our flight trying to arrange other flights cuz ours was CANCELED! D'oh!

Thank goodness we were flying to an area with 3 airports fairly close to each other. Because we were willing to be diverted to San Jose from Oakland they were able to get us on a flight leaving 2 hours later rather than the next day. They even put us in first class! This was 2 screw-ups outta 3 for Alaska as far as I was concerned however, and will likely never fly them again.

Flight was uneventful except the food was excellent and I'll never be able to comfortably fly coach again. Due to the lack of sleep I actually hallucinated that a huge (doberman-sized) hairy spider was walking around in the aisle next to me. Shook that off and had a beer. Despite all our flight changes we were picked up at the airport perfectly by Kel and Murray's family.
