On or around Memorial Day 2001, right after returning from Walt Disney World, Fog somehow get herself two puncture wounds. On the holiday we noticed her being real quiet and her head was warm, but we couldn't find anything. She didn't like us touching her chest area so we though maybe she was stung by a bee.

For the next week she fluctuated from acting normally, and acting listless. We finally found an abscess on her shoulder, and to us it looked like an animal bite. Kel took her to the vet. We felt bad that we hadn't found the wound for several days, until the vet brought Foggy back out to the waiting room and asked Kel where exactly the abscess was! Dang long-hair cats. Well the wound was too deep to be a bite, so they figured she must have hit a pointy branch when jumping around onto trees in the backyard. They shaved her, sewed her up and put in that catheter thingy. They also gave us a cone to keepo her from chewing on the tube. That's the next picture.

As of this writing (June 11, 2001) the tube's been removed and she no longer needs the cone. We're still giving her antibiotics and she's not allowed outside for another couple weeks. She's pissed. :)
