Oooooo there's a 10 Photo Slideshow!
In May of 2001 we decided the truck had served us well for 10 years and it was time to get a new commute vehicle for me. We don't like boring cars that look like everything else on the road, hence the Miata. When the PT Cruisers started appearing I knew I had to have one.
Once the decision was made and some heavy research done, we went down to our local Chrysler dealer only to be told that there were no more 2001s available and that there were 40 people on the waiting list for the '02s. EEK. We talked it over with a great sales-dude and in the end I custom ordered one, putting $500 down. He told us that best-case would have our PT in Concord by November.
Welp on September 4th I got the call! Went down the next day and filled out paperwork for 2 hours, then drove home with my new PT Cruiser!
Unfortunately it's been really busy here at work so the first chance I've had to get these pics up was today: September 11th 2001. As I type, the World Trade Center has collapsed and everyone's on pins and needles wondering where the next bomb will go off, so writing up more details will have to wait.
Just enjoy the pics for now so I can get back to watching the news.
