From the beginning, we wanted to create a walkway through the center of our front yard, that would allow people to approach the front door without having to use the driveway (which usually is filled with cars). After our experience with bricking our driveway, we went ahead with our plans and the result was 10 times better than the driveway. Now I wanna redo our first attempt :) We cut a gap in the fence and put in a nifty rose arbor. The climbing rose we installed took over in a matter of months. This shot from August 1995 was taken mere minutes after we finished it.
