Pulling out the range was easier than we thought... getting it out of our driveway has been a bitch however. It still works, the only thing wrong with it is the oven thermostat and the fact that it was electric. Removing the upper cabinets went more smoothly than last year. Unlike the other side of the kitchen, these were not the original cabinets that came with the house. They were more cheaply made and were not attached to the walls with railroad spikes. We were able to get them off the wall in one piece and will shortly be installing them in the laundry room.

Note the lovely green wall. That, my friends, was the original color of this kitchen! You can see a glimpse of a hole in the wall above the formica backsplash. That leads to a humungous pipe, at the bottom of which we found ashes! There musta been a wood burning stove here at one point.
