On Saturday night there was a cocktail party thrown by the Captain for everyone at the main sitting in the Mauritania Restaurant. Basically us steerage folks :). We stood in line and met Captain Warwick, they took our picture, they handed us champagne and then we sat. The Captain then said a few words, mostly apologizing for the ghastly weather, then we all got up and went to dinner. While waiting for the stragglers to meet the Captain, we chatted with a really nice couple from England who didn't feel all that comfortable being dressed up. Ahhh kindred spirits :) As for the Captain.... he seemed a bit uncomfortable standing up in front of a crowd. Probably thought we were mad about the weather. Oh well, he got us to New York safe :)
