The Oasis is sort of the Main Street of the Animal Kingdom, in that it's the main way in and out of the park. Unlike Main St. it's not full of shops but instead contains little twisty paths. Along those paths are lots of animal exhibits that too many people seem to miss on their way to the rides.
Kel and I spent an hour walking up and down checking them all out, while we were slowly making our way out to the entrance.
