This is the right side of the back patio, shot in May 1993. In this shot you can sorta see the bedroom's flat roof which became the floor of our new attic storage area the following year. That asparagus fern is the most amazing plant. During the course of various remodels, we have crushed it, chopped it back, tangled it, and finally strung it up. It always comes back stronger and bushier than ever. We didn't even start watering it till I put in the sprinkler system in the back last year (1996).
