I seem to remember being a bit frightened by the big walk-around characters back in 1968. As the story goes, I was supposed to have my picture taken with Mickey but refused so my Mom stood in for me ( Main Street), so when the time came to try again with Goofy this time, my Dad picked me up so I could be almost as big as him.
