WHEN: August 1981



In August of 1981 I was 15 years old and hadn't been to Disneyland in 4 or 5 years (!). My Dad took my brother, Chris, my sister, Michelle and his wife, my step-mother Karen down for a few days and for the first time, we stayed at the Disneyland Hotel! I was just getting into photography, and my Dad lent me his 35mm camera and threw money at me for film. I shot 7 rolls! He just loved the processing bill :) I was at that age where I really had no interest in hanging with the family so I strolled off on my own and took pictures. Most weren't very good. For some reason I wanted pictures of all the signs for all the attractions. This is also the 1st trip where I actually made a point to ride every single ride and see every show. I marked them off the Today In Disneyland Guide:)

Another first on this trip was the "Unlimited Passport". In '81 they still had the individual ABCDE tickets but you could purchase all day Passports... I think at first it was Magic Kingdom club members only but I could be wrong. Had to tie the Passport to yer wrist :)
