Several of my family thought this was a picture of a bombed out house in the war-torn Middle East. Sigh. Actually this is the South Wall of the Hippodrome and at some point later people built their houses right up against it. Well these houses were later torn down but I guess if they chipped away the bathroom tiles they'd damage the original walls too much, so they've left them. This was right near our hotel and I thought it was really cool.
