The Princess Diana Memorial in Hyde Park consists of a huge cement ring of icy cold water going around and around. When they first built it they had no idea people would want to put their feet in it and even walk up and down it.
On a day like this 90 degree day there was nobody NOT putting their feet in it. The little park ranger/lifeguards walked around telling people not to walk in the water, but they've stopped caring about just dunking your feet.
