By the weekend of August 11-12 2001 I'd gotten the rest of the benchwork done and had put up the top beams. Once those were up I finally saw just how big this thing was and began having second thoughts about the peaked gazebo roof. As I said in the intro, I suck at rafter cutting so I wanted to avoid it if possible. Came up with the canvas idea and it worked great. The next 11 Tub shots show the "test" canopy, which is just a $5 brown tarp.

You can also see 2 speakers in the upper back corners. I ran the speaker wire from the shed to the house months ago, then ran the remainder through the attic, to my audio patchbay this weekend. Tunes by the tub! Too Cool!

Also note the pop-up shade is back up, but in front of the tub this time. I needed the shade for varnishing the last few boards and noticed that it was dang nice for the darts area so I've left it.

As of August 16th all that's left to do is a final coat of varnish (now that I'm done banging and scraping), buying a nice white canvas canopy fabric and installing some fiber optic lighting!
