They use the front of the Castle as a backdrop for shows, which in my opinion sort of ruins the look of the area. Bleachers are never pretty. Oh well.

Now for my fireworks story. After checking out the Country Bear Jamboree in Westernland, on our last night, we stopped for a light dinner at Pecos Bills. We sat at one of the outdoor tables, which had a great view of the rest of Westernland. In order to see the castle we had to crane our necks while ducking under an umbrella. It was 5 minutes till Fantasy in the Sky and we were just too tired to care. We decided to blow off rushing to get a good view.

Welp the announcment came over the PA asking us to look up in the sky. Then a shell exploded right over Big Thunder! We had a perfect view of the fireworks just sitting right where we were. We were very pleased with our luck.

The show itself was a bit of a let-down however. It was only 5 minutes long and definately not as good as what we're used to with Believe, or even WDW's. Fun but no surprises.
