Now before you say, "boo hoo the dumb Americans can't handle anything less than a Marriot", I should let you know that Kel and I have stayed quite happily, in some pretty small rooms. We stayed in a room above a pub in Wales where we had to store our bags in the bathroom in order to get to the bed. We've stayed at B&Bs in the UK with shared bathrooms. I stayed in a scary-dirty room in Singapore once. In London you pay about $200 a night for rooms that are about 12x12, and require you to climb 4 storys up narrow steps. We've also stayed in some pretty seedy motels here in the States... we had to fight wild mildew in Vegas while at the same time ignoring some rather suspicious and disturbing stains on and around the bed. We love camping.

I'd gladly stay in any of those places before staying here again.

And to top it off, when we made the reservation we asked for the 'big' rooms, the ones in the web pictures. Upon arrival it turned out they were all full. And we still had to spend about $70 a night. Sheesh. Avoid this place.
