When planning this whole trip, we had a list of about 5 things that were a MUST see. Welp due to timing problems we ended up missing a few of them, including Waterford and visiting Aran's mother, Roisin. However, we did NOT miss the Guinness Brewery, or as I call it, Yum-Yum Land. You can't actually tour the brewery, but they do have a rather extensive Visitor Center which is probably much more fun and informative than an actual tour would have been. "...and here's another vat. That's a forklift." etc. In the Visitor Center we got to see all the old ads, mock-ups & models of all the brewery machines, and got to stand inside a pint of the black stuff itself! We spent a few hours here but this picture was taken right before we went in. Oh yeah, within a mile radius of the brewery there permeates the smell of roasting hops and barley...you almost get used to it.
