Like the header says, there are 2 pubs in Shotley Gate. This one is really geared towards tourists. It's a bit expensive, and they have ticky-tacky all over the place for sale (none of which says Shotley Gate). It is picturesque though so I snapped a pic of it from the bus-stop.

We actually spent more time at the Shipwreck Yacht Club, about a mile down the seawall. It was more "local" and had really good food. It, however, looks like your standard, modern marine type building so no picture. It was almost always night time when we went there too.

The Bristol Arms marks the end of the line for bus 97.
