If you are going thru the slideshow you'll see a slight jump in time and wonder what the heck happened? Didn't you say the locks were closed for the next day? Weeeeeell you'll also remember I mentioned we were 'special'. Marge made us sound a little more 'American' than we really are and kept on the pressure to the lock keepers until they agreed to let us go down the Flight. Afterall we flew all the way from America JUST to do this flight of locks! (wink wink). By this time on Tuesday morning (10:30) we'd already had breakfast, gotten dressed, taken a cab to the Trowbridge Rail Station, bought tickets to Bath, returned the tickets and taken a cab screaming back to the boats. Kel has the whole story in our diary (see link below).

This photo was taken as we pulled slowly into the 1st of the 16 consecutive locks that make up the very steep half of the Caen Hill Flight.
