By far the coolest room in the museum is a room filled with animation machines. Not film making machines, but old zoetropes and light boxes, all using Miyazaki characters. Two in particular are just incredible. One is a huge turntable filled with little Miyazki figures. Totoro, Porco Rossa, various sprites and heroines, etc. It turns then a strobe light flashes and everything seems to move! The other is this glass column with some flying birds. Undescribable except to say that both will have you staring at them for an hour.
