I'm smiling cuz for awhile there we weren't sure we were gonna make it here. We bought a package trip from Eurostar which included the speedy train straight to DP from Waterloo station in London, 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, 3 days in the park, and then the speedy train back to London. Thanks to Stena Ferries, we missed our train in London by 15 minutes! Eurostar got us on the next train out, but it's destination was Paris, not DP. Here's the run-down of the 30 hours leading up to this picture:
  1. 7:00am Oct 29th: Get up and have breakfast in the hotel in Dublin... last meal for awhile.
  2. 9:30am: Catch cab to Irish Dart for short trip to Ferry Terminal.
  3. 10:15am - 8:45pm: Sit at Ferry Terminal and wait for Ferry to arrive. Very little info from Stena on WHEN we'll be leaving.
  4. 8:30pm: Announcement made saying passengers should run down and get on a bus headed for Irish Ferries Terminal to catch the 9:45pm Ferry. Stena will not be sailing.
  5. 9:15pm: Arrive Irish Ferries Term. Ferry departure going to be delayed until 10:45.
  6. 11:30pm: Ferry FINALLY leaves.
  7. 3:15am: Ferry docks in Holyhead. Walk over to rail station.
  8. 3:25am: No station personal around, deduce from very complicated schedule that next train out is at 4:15am.... make a guess that track 3 is where to be.
  9. 4:15am EXACTLY: train leaves for Crewe Station.
  10. 6:00am : Get off at Crewe, grab a muffin and coffee, get on train for London Euston.
  11. 9:00am EXACTLY: Get off train at Euston Station. run to tube station.
  12. 9:07am: Miss 1st subway to Waterloo... it's packed and we've got luggage.
  13. 9:20am: Push our way onto 2nd subway to Waterloo.
  14. 9:39am: arr at Waterloo station and run to Eurostar terminal. Train left at 9:30.
  15. 9:40 - 10:00am: sort out tickets and get a seat on 10:15 train to Paris.
  16. 1:00pm (paris time): arrive in Paris, get money changed and try to figure out Metro.
  17. 1:45pm: Get on correct Metro headed for DP (we hope).
  18. 2:30pm: Arrive at DP - Chessy Metro Station.
  19. 2:45pm Oct 30th: This picture taken.


THAT'S why I'm smiling.
