We took a London Walk to see Greenwich. We didn't actually walk to Greenwich however. The tour began at the Tower Hill Tube Station and from there we walked down to the dock to catch a boat tour of the Thames. Our guide let the boat guide give us this part of the tour. He was very funny and made sure to point out every pub on the shoreline. Once we docked in Greenwich, our London Walks guide took over. We walked all over the place looking at buildings and stuff :).

We here in Concord CA thought our Spirit Poles were controversial...London spent a bit more on quite a larger version and people are STILL grousing about it. Yep it's the Millennium Dome, as seen from across the river in Greenwich. When planning our trip we had set aside a day to see the Dome. Once we got here and talked to Matt about it, then saw the price of admission was more than Disneyland, 40 quid, about $57, we decided to look at it from afar. The descriptions we read made it sound like a trade show and we see enough of those for "free". We heard from people who think it's great and from people who thought is was an abomination. Our London Walks Guide likes it because it is an interesting structure built in a formerly ugly area. I can agree with her on that, except they are going to close it at the end of this year so what happens then? We took this shot right after getting off the boat.
