We decided ahead of time that we wouldn't ask for separate checks when we ate together at table-service restaurants. It's a pain for the server. Instead we would just keep track of who ate what, and the prices, then one person would put it on their credit card. After the trip was over we compiled and collated all those numbers and we were able to figure out who owed what to whom. Worked out great unless you were the Banker and had to keep track of all that stuff, sometimes without the receipts...
We made Kel the Banker.
